Series of accident rocks Bhubaneswar: 2 killed, 7 others injured, 3 of them critical

Bhubaneswar: A series of accident has once again rocked Bhubaneswar, the state capital city of Odisha, leaving two people dead and seven others injured, three of them critical.According to eyewitnesses, the series of accident near the Press Chhaka on the Sainik School road took place after a speeding car (OD35K 3399) suddenly lost control and hit several vehicles creating fear and panic among the commuters and local residents.Initially, the car hit an auto-rickshaw, then collided with three bikes and a scooty before crashing into a roadside mango tree in a filmy style.Hearing the sound of the accident, locals rushed to the scene and rescued the injured persons before informing to the police. However, the driver of the car managed to flee the scene after causing the tragic mishap.It is reported that while two persons died, seven others were injured and three of them are critical. All of them were sent to a nearby hospital for treatment.Traffic on the Acharya Vihar-NALCO Chhaka road was heavily disrupted for some time after the incident. On receiving information, police reached the scene, removed the damaged vehicles and normalized the traffic.Cops also have launched an investigation into the matter to trace the absconding car driver and find out the exact cause of the accident. Police also sent the bodies of the two unidentified deceased persons to the hospital.
