Cuttack, Ap 17: Tension gripped Cuttack late last night as members of two rival groups engaged in a violent clash in the Rajabagicha area, hurling stones at each other and causing panic among residents.Police swiftly deployed a strong force to the area to restore order and prevent further escalation. Authorities confirmed that the situation is now under control, though law enforcement remains on high alert.This incident follows a similar violent clash last month in Angul district, where residents of Manikpur and Jharbandhali villages under Kishorenagar police limits clashed, with gunfire reported during the confrontation. Nine people were critically injured, seven from Manikpur and two from Jharbandhali. Most of the injured were treated at Rairakhol Medical, while Mohan Patra and Lokanath Behera, who sustained bullet injuries in both legs, were moved to Burla Medical for advanced treatment.
