Soro: A massive road accident was averted in Baleshwar district of Odisha after a truck crashed into pilgrimage bus on National Highway-16 near Markona Electricity Office in Soro.As per reports, a pilgrimage bus carrying over 60 passengers was moving towards Puri from Dantan in West Bengal.As it reached near the place of occurrence, a truck that was plying at a high speed initially crashed into a container and then lost control and hit the pilgrimage bus in the process.The collision caused panic amongst the all the passengers but reportedly they were all safe.However, the helper of the pilgrimage bus was seriously injured and taken to the nearby hospital for treatment.Meanwhile, the truck driver fled the spot immediately after the incident, local sources said.On being informed, police reached the accident spot and have initiated a probe into the matter.Efforts are currently underway to nab the absconding truck driver.
