Anugola: Two Kanwariyas were swept away by strong currents in the Lingara canal near Tipirisingha in Anugola district while collecting water for ‘Jalabhisheka’, sources said Monday.One of the men was rescued by local residents in a critical condition and taken to the Angola district headquarters hospital for treatment. The other remains missing, they added.The incident took place when the group of devotees was collecting water for the ritual. The two men reportedly lost their footing and fell into the fast-flowing canal, sources informed.A fire services team, police personnel and local divers launched a search operation for the missing devotee. Rescuers were searching downstream amid strong currents.
