Vikram-1′, India’s first private space rocket to be launched within a month under Mission Agaman

New Delhi, 2/7: India’s first private sector orbital class rocket Vikram-1 is set for its first flight between July 12 and August 4, its developer Skyroot Aerospace said here on Thursday, disclosing the long-awaited launch window.

Designed to carry small satellites weighing up to 350 kg to Low Earth Orbit, Vikram-1’s maiden mission will target an orbit at an altitude of 450 km. The lift-off will happen from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota, the company said.
