New Delhi, 7/7: The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to entertain a plea by Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) seeking to restrain Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay and other Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leaders from visiting victim’s families alleging that it could influence witnesses in the Karur stampede case.
A bench questioned the basis of the petition, asking how the court could regulate a chief minister’s visit to the families of stampede victims or treat such visits as an attempt to influence witnesses
