Brahmapur: In a gruesome incident, a young man was found dead with his throat slit on the roadside near Lakshmipur under Buguda police station limits of Ganjam district on Tuesday.The deceased has been identified as Santosh Raut of Tala Odia Sahi in Buguda.Some passersby noticed Raut lying in a pool of blood amidst the bushes along the roadside and alerted the Buguda police. Without any delay, cops rushed to the spot, rescued Santosh and rushed him to the Community Health Centre (CHC), where he was declared dead by the attending doctor.However, the identity of the perpetrator behind Santosh’s murder and the motive behind the crime still remain shrouded in uncertainty.Police have initiated an investigation into the matter, said sourced adding that the Santosh’s body will be handed over to the family members after completion of postmortem.Meanwhile, Raut’s ghastly murder during the Dussehra festival has terrified the locals and has posed a significant challenge for the police.
