New Delhi, 28/12 (AO Bureau): Coronavirus vaccine dry run starts in four states of India. The 2-day dry run of the Coronavirus vaccine started to assess the readiness of the mechanism laid out for the inoculation drive begins today in Punjab, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, and Gujarat. Authorities will look after the possible side-effects after the vaccination, and dry runs will include cold storage and transportation arrangements. The program will be carried out in chosen districts of these states.
The data of the vaccination will be entered into the CO-WIN application for monitoring of the coronavirus vaccine delivery, testing receipt and allocation, deployment of team members, mock drill of session sites with test beneficiaries.
The government plans to cover 30 crore people in the first phase when it rolls out a vaccine for coronavirus. A total of 2,360 training sessions have been held so far, and 7,000 officials have been trained.
