Indore, 7/2 (AO Bureau) :Comedian Munawar Faruqui was released from the Central Jail here late Saturday after he was granted interim bail from the Supreme Court in the case of alleged objectionable comments about Hindu deities. He was in this jail under judicial custody for the last 35 days. The Central Jail administration had expressed its inability to release Faruqui late Saturday, citing a court warrant issued by a Prayagraj court, but later a jail official said that the order passed by the apex court on Friday after about 30 hours The prison administration got it, based on which the young comedian was released late on Saturday.
At the same time, according to the report of the Indian Express, the judge of the Supreme Court telephoned the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Indore and urged him to check the order on the website of the apex court, in which he granted bail to Munawar and also stopped the production warrant. .
Under this order, the Supreme Court granted Faruqui an interim bail in the case registered in Indore. Along with this, in the case registered in Prayagraj against him on the charge of hurting religious sentiments, the trial warrant of a lower court there was also banned.
