Neighboring country Sri Lanka is facing a huge economic crisis. There is no dollar to buy paper in the country. Due to not being able to buy paper, examinations of lakhs of students have been canceled in the country. No information has been given as to when the exam will be held. According to officials, the country does not have dollars to buy paper from outside. Education officials say that the term examination was going to be held for school students from Monday, but due to the acute shortage of paper in the country, the examination has been postponed indefinitely.
Sri Lanka is going through its worst economic crisis since independence in 1948. The Education Department of the Western Province said that due to the lack of foreign exchange in the country, paper and ink could not be imported from outside, due to which no school would be able to conduct the principal examination
