Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological department on Saturday issued a warning for thunderstorm with lightning, gusty surface wind and hailstorm in the state. As per the MeT Bhubaneswar’s latest bulletin, isolated hailstorm is expected in parts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj, Cuttack, Dhenkanal and Jagatsinghpur districts. It also issued heavy rainfall alert with an orange warning to Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara and Jajpur districts. Day 1: Thunderstorm and lightning alert was issued to all the districts in Odisha. Gusty surface wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph was issued to 11 districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kendrapara and Bhadrak. The weather warning is valid upto 08.30 of March 23. Day 2: Valid from 08.30 hrs of March 23 to 08.30 hrs of March 24 Thunder with lightning Yellow warning to Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Ganjam, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha and Puri. Day 3: Valid from 08.30 hrs of March 24 to 08.30 hrs of March 25 Thunder with lightning Yellow warning to Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Khordha, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Cuttack, Kendrapara Day 4&5: Valid from 08.30 hrs of March 25 to 08.30 hrs of March 27
