Subarnapur, 9/8–Subalaya police get big success. Police have seized 1302 packets of ganja worth more than 12 quintals from a container. According to information, the said container was coming towards Birmaharajpur from Kadaligarh area with ganja in it. After receiving information from some source, Subarnapur Superintendent Of Police Narayan Nayak, the police had tightened patrolling and the Subalaya police chased the container. The driver, who was chasing the police, left the container in the Sarakhandi area near Govindpur Chhak on the Subalaya-Birmaharajur road and fled. The police reached the spot and seized the container and while weighing the seized ganja in the presence of Executive Magistrate Ajit Mirddha, the police informed that its quantity would be more than 12 quintals. However, there is no clear information about how many people were in the container, including the driver. Further investigation is underway, said Sanjeev Bastia, officer-in-charge of Subalaya police station.
