New Delhi: Australia has made one change in their playing of Test match team against Bangladesh which is they have replaced Opener Jake Weatherald with Matt Renshaw in second test that would be played from august 22.
He will be opening with Travis Head. This is the first time in more than three years that Renshaw will be playing a Test match.
He was selected on the back of his performance in the last season of the Sheffield Shield where he scored 499 runs in an average of 49.90.
Australia, for all the talk of axing the veteran spinner and going for an all-pace attack by bringing in Scott Boland, have also opted to persist with the veteran.
Now Bangladesh recorded a shock nine-wicket victory against Australia in the first Test in Darwin, that was Bangladesh’s first-ever win on Australian soil.
Australia have now got to win in Mackay to even up the two-Test series.
