Team India Coach: Paras Mhambrey applied for the post of Indian team’s bowling coach

Mumbai, 25/10:Former fast bowler Paras Mhambrey, who has been very successful with India A and Under 19 teams, applied for the post of bowling coach of the senior team on Monday.

BCCI sources gave this information. Mhambrey has been associated with the National Cricket Academy for nearly a decade and is considered close to Rahul Dravid. Dravid could be the next head coach of the Indian team.

 

 

A senior board official said, “Paras applied for the post today. The last date to apply is 26 October. Paras has a lot of experience and has been a part of the elite coaching system of Indian cricket for the past decade.

The BCCI believes that after the departure of current fast bowlers Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav, the next generation of Indian fast bowlers will also be those who have played for the U-19 or A team under the guidance of Mhambrey. BCCI sources had earlier indicated that Dravid has agreed to take over as the head coach. Ravi Shastri’s tenure ends after the T20 World Cup.
