Top 2.5 Lakh Candidates Eligible for Passing JEE Main Examination
Let us know that the top 2.5 lakh candidates who have passed the JEE Main exam are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced.
JEE Main is organized for admission in engineering colleges across India, while JEE Advanced is organized for admission to 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in the country.
JEE Advance, Second Chance
Candidates who successfully registered for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advance in 2020, but were absent for the examination due to Kovid-19, will be allowed to appear again in 2021 directly. That is, such candidates will not be required to sit again in JEE Main 2021. Such students will not be placed in the list of students who have passed the main examination this year. They will be kept as additional, so that the candidates are not affected this year.
This year Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has taken the responsibility of conducting the examination. Only the top 2.5 lakh students are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced every year. However, in 2020, only 1.5 lakh took the exam.
