Deogarh: The Chairman of Deogarh Municipality has been removed from her chair following illegal practices and allegations in her name. After an investigation by District Collector she was removed from her post. The chairman of Deogarh municipality Shanti Manjari has been removed from her chair. This came after the review committee headed by District Collector Kabindra Kumar Sahoo reported its findings in favour of the allegations. There were allegations in her name for intentionally breaking the laws and disobeying the guidelines. On November 22, Odisha Government had issued a show-cause notice as to why any action has not been taken against her despite allegations in her name. After the show cause notice by the Odisha government a fact finding committee was set up with the chairmanship of District Collector. The committee also said that she was found to be disobeying the guidelines and breaking the laws.
