Rain may play spoilsports in the final ODI against Sri Lankast

Colombo, 23/7: The third and final match of the ODI series between India and Sri Lanka (IND vs SL) is to be played today. India has already captured the series by winning both the matches. In such a situation, in the third match, Team India can try its bench strength. Changes are possible especially in the top order. In place of Prithvi Shaw, either Devdutt Padikkal or Ruturaj Gaikwad can be given a chance to open the innings with captain Shikhar Dhawan.

Apart from this, Sanju Samson, who has recovered from injury, can also be a part of the playing-11 in place of wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan. If Ishan is out of the third ODI, then Suryakumar Yadav can play at number three and Samson can come to bat at number five.

Hardik Pandya’s fitness is definitely a matter of concern for Team India. In the second ODI, Hardik Pandya was seen battling with back pain while bowling and he could not even open the account during batting. Changes in the lower order are less likely.

Rain likely in 3rd ODI

According to Indian time, the third ODI between India and Sri Lanka will start at Premadasa Stadium in Colombo at 3 pm and the toss will take place at 2.30 pm.
