Floods cause havoc in Maharashtra

Mumbai, 25/7: Heavy rain in Maharashtra for the last several days has now taken the form of flood. Many villages in Maharashtra have been submerged in flood waters. In Maharashtra, floods, rains and landslides have caused such havoc that so far 112 people have died, while 99 people are yet to be traced.

 

Giving information, the Department of Relief and Rehabilitation Department said that the work of evacuating people from the debris in the accident due to the landslide is going on continuously. In view of the flood situation in the state, so far about 1 lakh 35 thousand people have been evacuated from the flood affected areas. According to officials related to relief and rescue work, 3221 animals have also died and 53 people have been injured due to the floods.
