UAIL and Baphlimali Mines Observes 11th International Yoga Day

Rayagada, 22/6/2025: Utkal Alumina International Limited, (UAIL) a unit of Hindalco Industries of Aditya Birla Group, observed the 11th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm at its Nuapada and ushapada township under Tikiri in Rayagada district. This international yoga day celebrations were focused on health, wellness, and mindfulness.
On the occasion yoga instructors Aniket Joshi and Anisha conducted the sessions, guiding participants through various asanas and pranayama practices. They also elaborated on the benefits of yoga and its relevance to everyday well-being. This year’s theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health” was highlighted during the sessions to emphasize the holistic impact of yoga on personal health and global harmony.
The sessions has active participation from over 400 employees, who enthusiastically performed different yoga asanas and breathing exercises. In this session, Uttam Giri (FH Operations), Paul Gupta (FH Technical), Biswajit Jowardar (FH Safety), and Paramjeet Bajwa (Admin & Security), also joined and encouraged employee participation in practice the yoga in everyday life.
Similarly, Baphlimali Bauxite Mines of UAIL, observed the 11th International Yoga Day in a grand manner. Aligned with the Indian Bureau of Mines’ guidelines, the initiative aimed at promoting good health and wellness among the workforce. The event emphasized the importance of yoga for physical health, mental peace, and spiritual awareness.
The Yoga camp at Baphlimali Mines witnessed active participation from mine employees. Mr. Vijay Chauhan, Head of the Mines, joined the session and practiced asanas alongside the team. Instructors Dillip Kumar Nanda and Anindita Mandal guided the participants and explained the practical benefits of yoga in detail.
Through this yoga day celebration the UAIL showed its commitment to employee well-being, promoting yoga as a powerful tool for a healthier and more happier life.
