Angul:(Correspondent) :-Sanskrit Week celebrations have commenced at D.A.V. Public School, M.C.L., Kalinga Area. The program began during the school’s morning assembly with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by events conducted in the Sanskrit language.
Students presented group songs, chanted shlokas, and performed devotional songs with deep emotion and reverence.
Sanskrit is one of the most ancient and rich languages in the world. It is considered the mother of most Indian languages. Noble thoughts such as “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah” (May all be happy) and “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (The world is one family) are rooted only in the Sanskrit language. Indian culture is incomplete without Sanskrit, and preserving this language is essential for preserving our culture. The aim of this celebration is to instill this awareness in the young minds of students.
On the occasion of Sanskrit Week, various competitions related to the Sanskrit language were also organized.
On this auspicious occasion, the efforts, enthusiasm, and motivation of the Principal and Assistant Regional Officer, Sri Prashant Kumar Panda, are highly commendable. He graced the event with his presence, recited Sanskrit shlokas, and delivered an inspiring speech on how the dignity and heritage of the Sanskrit language can be preserved.
Mrs. Itishree Samal, the school Supervisor, also extended her valuable support to ensure the success of the event.
The cooperation and dedication of all the teachers and staff of the school in making this program a success are truly appreciable.
