Darlipali : NTPC Darlipali has initiated the construction of an approach road to the Government
Polytechnic at Darlipali village, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening
infrastructure in neighbouring communities. The project is being executed through
the Roads & Building Department, Sundargarh, on a deposit basis with a total cost of
₹2,75,30,000.
The first instalment of ₹1,37,65,000 (50% of project cost) was handed over to the
Superintending Engineer, Roads & Building Department, Sundargarh Division, on 31
October 2025. The amount was formally presented by Shri Faiz Taiyab, Head of
Project, NTPC Darlipali, in the presence of Shri Ravindra Sharma, General Manager
(O&M), and Ms Pratibha Singh, Head of HR, NTPC Darlipali.
NTPC had earlier constructed the Government Polytechnic at Darlipali at an
investment of ₹25 crore, which has now entered its second academic session. The
proposed 1.5-km road will significantly enhance connectivity for students, faculty,
and nearby residents. Besides facilitating smooth access to the Polytechnic, it will
also serve as an alternate route linking Darlipali village to Brajrajnagar.
This initiative underlines NTPC Darlipali’s continued focus on community
development and infrastructure enhancement, contributing to improved accessibility
and overall regional growth.
