Today, a short while ago, Sri Dhumaram Murmu, ACSO Champua, Keonjhar, has been nabbed by Odisha Vigilance *while demanding and taking bribe of Rs.15000/- at his office, from a local LAMPCS incharge in connection with procurement of Paddy done recently during the current KMS*. He was allegedly demanding bribes from other Paddy Procurement Centres, too. *The entire bribe amount Rs 15,000 has been seized from his possession*. Following the trap, simultaneous searches have been launched at his locations. In this connection, Balasore Vigilance PS Case No 08/2026 U/s-7PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Murmu, ACSO, Champua. Detailed report follows.
