Know about free 109 ambulance services to be launched by Odisha govt

Bhubaneswar: In a progressive initiative, Odisha Government will soon launch the free 109 ambulance services in Odisha informed Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling. The Odisha government will soon launch the free 109 ambulance services for the people of Odisha. The vehicle will be deployed in carrying the bodies from hospital to the house of the deceased or to the crematorium. This service will be completely free. On similar lines of 108-ambulance, the new services will be launched in Odisha. This will reach the needy within 20 to 30 minutes. Health Minister, Mukesh Mahaling informed that in the first phase all the District Headquarters Hospital (DHHs) and the Medical colleges will be provided with these ambulances. Budget allotment for the same has been done. He further said that this will solve the problem that the family members of the deceased face while transporting the deceased.
