New Delhi, 18/8: The Forward Seamen’s Union of India (FSUI) has issued an SOS alert regarding the Marshall Islands-flagged vessel AM Pioneer with 16 Indian crew members, alleging that the shipowners are pressuring the captain and crew to transit the highly volatile Strait of Harmouz.
In a post on X, the maritime union said the crew had refused to enter the area because of the risks posed by the ongoing conflict in the region. The union said the shipowners and managers of AM Pioneer are “pressuring the master” to force its 16 Indians crew to transit the Strait of Harmouz.
