Executed under the banner of ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 3.0’ as part of the broader Seva Sankalp Abhiyan–2026, the drive spanned every district and Gram Panchayat, uniting rural and urban communities in a shared mission to honour motherhood and protect the planet. This year’s drive set a new benchmark for state-led ecological initiatives, significantly outperforming last year’s impressive record of 37 lakh saplings. The massive effort unfolded across more than 14,000 designated sites statewide, proving that environmental action has firmly taken root at the grassroots level in Odisha. Highlighting the spirit of the campaign, Hon’ble Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water, Rabi Narayan Naik, praised the widespread public involvement. He noted that the seamless participation from every corner of the state demonstrates the collective resolve of Odisha’s citizens to build a healthier future. The operational success of the campaign was particularly noteworthy given the challenging climate conditions on the ground. Shri Girish S.N., Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water, congratulated field teams, local administrators, and volunteers who worked tirelessly despite inclement weather to ensure the drive’s success.
