Iran’s Revolutionary Guard says re-opening Strait of Hormuz does not depend on talks with Oman

Washington DC, 13/8: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has rejected claims that talks with Oman could lead to the reopening of the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, saying the waterway will only be reopened if the United States agrees to conditions set by Tehran.

A U S official on Thursday reported progress between Iran and Oman that could soon reopen the Strait of Hormuz, potentially restoring oil exports that have been disrupted by the five-month-old U S war with Iran.
