New Delhi, 8/8: The Ministry of Finance on Saturday issued clarification over charges on UPI payments, saying that the consumers will not face any transaction charges, adding that all Person-to-Person transactions will continue to be free of charge.
The government, however, said that a nominal MDR has been introduced for a limited set of merchant transactions, which will apply above a certain threshold, which would be lower than debit or credit card MDRs.
