Kendujhar: A man was critically injured after being shot at in Khuduputuli village under Ghatagaon police limits in Kendujhar district on Sunday.The injured has been identified as Jatindra Mahanta of Khuduputuli village.According to reports, some miscreants suddenly arrived in the village and opened three rounds of fire. In the incident, Jatindra was hit by a bullet in his stomach and collapsed in a pool of blood. Family members and locals immediately rushed him to Keonjhar District Headquarters Hospital. As his condition was critical, he was later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for advanced treatment. He is currently undergoing treatment there.However, the exact motive behind the attack is yet to be ascertained. After firing, the miscreants fled from the spot. Following the incident, police reached the spot and have launched an investigation.
