Odisha Police athletes have once again made the state proud with stellar performances at national‑level competitions.Twelve sportspersons achieved remarkable success across disciplines including Wushu, Taekwondo, Karate, and Pencak Silat, earning medals and recognition for the force.At a felicitation ceremony held at the Commissionerate Police Headquarters, Bhubaneswar, DGP Yogesh Bahadur Khurania honoured the achievers for their dedication and excellence. The event celebrated their victories at the 11th All India Police Judo Cluster (2026‑27) in Hyderabad and the 5th Senior National India Taekwondo Poomsae Championship 2026 in Pune.The DGP praised the athletes for bringing glory to Odisha Police and the state, noting that their achievements reflect discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. He expressed confidence that the contingent will continue to enhance the reputation of Odisha Police in future tournaments.Silver medallists received Rs 4,000, while bronze winners were awarded Rs 3,000 as incentive prizes.Among the standout performers were WC/27 Sashwati Nayak, who won silver in the Judo Cluster and bronze in the Taekwondo Nationals; C/45 Satyaprakash Mahanti, who bagged dual bronze medals; and WC/968 Bratati Biswaprava Pati, who earned both silver and bronze in individual and team Karate events.Senior officials including ADG (Law & Order) Sanjay Kumar and Police Commissioner Suresh Devadatta Singh attended the ceremony, encouraging the athletes. The event was coordinated by Sports Officer Neelamadhab Swain.
