Nilagiri: Two bodies of missing college students have been recovered from the Blue Lake after 24 hours under Nilagiri police limits of Baleshwar district.They were drowned in the Blue Lake, an artificial water body formed in an abandoned stone quarry while taking bathing.The deceased has been identified as Anshuman Patra, a resident of Bhadrak and Bhavishya Patra, a native of Baincha area of Nilagiri.Yesterday, the three students had visited the abandoned stone quarry. When they entered to bathe, they lost their balance and fell into the water. While another student Roshan Nayak, had a narrow escape. He tried to rescue his friend but was unable to save him.While fire service personnel and ODRAF launched a search operation immediately, they stopped their rescue operation midway as it was night. Two bodies were recovered after a search operation this morning. The incident has cast a shadow of mourning over the entire village.
