Sundargada: In a significant anti-corruption development, Odisha Vigilance has secured the conviction of one ex-Additional Tahasildar of Bijepur in Baragada district in a bribery case.Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) office Govinda Dandasena, the ex-Additional Tahasildar of Bijepur in Baragada district, who is currently posted as executive Officer of Rajgangpur Municipality in Sundargada, was convicted by the Special Judge of Vigilance in Baragada and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of three years and fine.Dandasena was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in a case U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d)/7 PC Act,1988 for demanding and taking bribe from a land owner to process mutation case record in respect of his land.Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for dismissal of Govinda Dandasena from service following his conviction.
