Bhubaneswar, November 2, 2026: State Bank of India (SBI), Local Head Office
(LHO), Bhubaneswar, organised the SBI YONO Interbank Cricket Tournament on
November 1, 2026, at SOA Ground, Bhubaneswar, with enthusiastic participation
from 13 banks.
The tournament witnessed participation from State Bank of India (SBI), Reserve
Bank of India (RBI), NABARD, Punjab National Bank (PNB), Bank of India (BOI),
Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), Bank of Baroda (BOB), IDBI Bank, UCO
Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Central Bank of India and Union Bank of India.
The event was inaugurated jointly by Shri Sibi Mathews, Regional Director, RBI, and
Shri Rakesh Kumar Yadav, Chief General Manager, SBI, LHO Bhubaneswar, in the
presence of senior officials from participating banks.
The tournament culminated in an exciting final match between State Bank of India
and Punjab National Bank, in which SBI emerged victorious, lifting the tournament
trophy.
The occasion was graced by Shri Rakesh Kumar Yadav, Chief General Manager,
SBI, LHO Bhubaneswar, and Shri Prabudh Kumar, General Manager, along with
Deputy General Managers (DGMs), Assistant General Managers (AGMs) of SBI
LHO Bhubaneswar and Regional Heads of all participating banks.
The tournament provided an excellent platform for interbank camaraderie,
sportsmanship, teamwork and healthy competition. The enthusiastic participation of
all 13 banks made the event a memorable sporting occasion, reinforcing the spirit of
friendship, cooperation and unity among the banking fraternity.
The successful organisation of the tournament reflects SBI's continued commitment
to promoting sports, fitness and stronger professional relationships within the
banking community.
