Bhubaneswar, May 30: A shocking incident of alleged rash driving was reported in the capital city on Friday after a truck dragged a car for nearly 500 metres from Satya Vihar Square towards the Pahala road stretch.According to eyewitnesses, the truck driver failed to stop the vehicle even after a minor collision with the car. Despite repeated warnings and shouts from bystanders, the truck continued moving, dragging the car along the road and creating panic among commuters.The car eventually came to a halt on a bridge, while the truck driver allegedly attempted to flee the scene. Fortunately, the two occupants of the car escaped with minor injuries.On being informed, a team from Mancheswar Police Station reached the spot and launched a chase. The truck was later intercepted and the driver was detained for questioning.Police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident.
