Chilika, 18/7:The Banpur police have cracked the murder mystery of an unknown mentally disturbed woman and arrested the accused. ASP Kishore Chandra Mund informed about this on Tuesday afternoon in a press conference at Banpur police station. The accused is identified as Chaitanya Nayak alias Ravi (30) of Badahantuada,Banpur . For the first time, such a heinous murder took place in Banpur ps area, which was became a big challenge for the police to catch the accused. Under the direction of Khordha SP Siddharth Kataria and under the supervision of Balugaon SDPO Subhransu Sekhar Mishra , multiple teams were formed including Banpur IIC Ramesh Kumar Debata and Balugaon IIC Jayprakash Parida. The police started working from different angles and collected all the evidences and finally managed to arrest the accused with the help of CCTV footages from different areas, local spies and electronic surveillance . After the recovery of the sword used for the murder, the investigation was accelerated. However, the police said that the deceased woman had spoken some harsh words to the accused Ravi on the same night, so he took revenge and killed her.Accordingly, the identity of the deceased mentally disturbed woman has not been ascertained till date.
