Turmeric- Turmeric is also very helpful in reducing allergies. Turmeric has properties that reduce inflammation. Doctor Gallowitz says, “Curcumin, the active ingredient of turmeric, has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties.” According to a study published in 2016 in Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, patients with allergic rhinitis who had consumed curcumin showed significant improvement in their immune response and nasal airflow. Doctor Gallowitz says that to get the most benefit of turmeric, it should be taken with black pepper.

Tomatoes- Vitamin C is also found in good amounts in tomatoes. Apart from this, all the essential ingredients that fight allergies are found in tomatoes. Lycopene found in tomatoes is an antioxidant compound that reduces inflammation. Tomato juice contains 85 percent more lycopene than melon and pink grapefruit. According to research from the US National Library of Medicine, lycopene improves the lungs of asthma patients.
