JSW BPSL Organized Drawing Competition on occasion of World Environment Day

Sambalpur ; On the occasion of the upcoming World Environment Day, JSW BPSL and
JSW Foundation jointly organized drawing competitions in peripheral schools
of the JSW BPSL plant to remind citizens and sensitize students about the
growing need for environmental protection and sustainability. The
competition was based on this year's theme, “Land restoration, desertification,
and drought resilience,” urging communities to restore land and ecosystems,
protect biodiversity, and combat climate change.
The programme was organized and coordinated by the Corporate Social
Responsibility Department and the Environment Management Department of
JSW BPSL, the event saw active participation from 51 students of Saraswati
Shishu Mandir, Lapanga, and Government Higher Secondary School,
Lapanga. Through their artistic expressions, students highlighted critical
environmental issues and emphasized the importance of proactive measures to
safeguard our planet. The program has been well appreciated by intellectuals
in local communities. Through such activities, JSW BPSL continues to foster
environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices within local
communities.
