Sambalpur ; In its continuous endeavor to support education and uplift talented students for higher studies,
JSWBPSL under its CSR initiative is continuing JSW Udaan scholarship through JSW Foundation
for the last 3 years in Sambalpur & Jharsuguda District. A grand felicitation ceremony for JSW
Udaan Scholarship achievers for the year 2023-24 was arranged at Veer Surendra Sai University
of Technology, Sambalpur.
The event, attended by representatives from six local colleges, honored around 200 students for
their academic excellence. The JSW Udaan Scholarship supports students from economically
weaker sections in Sambalpur and Jharsuguda districts. The program has given financial help for
Higher Studies to more than 631 students, including 433 students in the last year itself.
The felicitation ceremony was graced by prominent educationists like, Dr. Sanjaya Patro, Dean,
Student Welfare at VSSUT, Dr. Mihir Hota, Dean (Academics), Silicon Institute of Technology,
Sambalpur, Mr. Sanjib Agrawal, Secretary, Badriprasad Group of Institutions, Sambalpur, and Mr.
Vishal Raj, Head of CSR, JSW Foundation at JSWBPSL, Sambalpur Works, who emphasized on
the significance of the JSW Udaan Scholarship and the broader role of JSW Foundation in
contributing to society through its various CSR initiatives. The program highlighted the JSWBPSL
& JSW Foundation's dedication to empowering students and fostering educational advancement.
