Kalinganagar, Jajpur– 20/12/2024– Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL), Kalinganagar, and the Government Polytechnic Institute, Ragdi, Jajpur, celebrated the successful completion of a stainless-steel fabrication training project, awarding certificates to 20 students. The ceremony, held at the Government Polytechnic Institute, Ragdi, marked a significant milestone in JSL’s ongoing commitment to skill development and community empowerment. Shri Ramakrishna Mohanty, Deputy General Manager, Ferro Alloys Department, JSL Kalinganagar, served as the chief guest, presenting certificates to the graduating students and emphasizing the diverse applications of stainless steel. He encouraged the students to embrace hard work and positive thinking to adapt to the evolving job market. Dr. Subhang Kishore Das, Chairman of the Government polytechnic Institute, Ragadi, Jajpur, lauded the project’s impact on student knowledge and skills. He highlighted the project’s crucial role in enhancing students’ understanding of stainless steel and urged JSL to expand the program further. Tapan Kumar Nayak, Senior Manager, CSR Department, JSL, actively engaged with the students, soliciting feedback to improve future training sessions. He expressed gratitude to all participants and wished the students success in their future endeavours. The students themselves shared their aspirations, expressing confidence in using their new skills to build successful entrepreneurial ventures.
This training program, conducted by Shri Manas Kumar Mishra, a professor at the Government Multipurpose Technical Educational Institution, Ragdi, Jajpur, represents the tenth phase of a successful collaboration between JSL and the institute. Since 2019, the initiative has trained over 200 students in the versatile technical applications of stainless steel. The program is set to continue, with another 20 students scheduled to participate starting next January.
