The arrested suspects are identified as Babi alias Kajal Das (28), Panchua alias Srikanta Swain (33), Asish Mallick (19), and Chintu alias Chiranjib Das (28), all of whom are from various locations within Puri district. According to police reports, Babi and Panchua are connected to a total of 14 criminal cases.
Authorities seized several stolen items from the suspects, including seven gold chains, 30 gold rings, one digital camera, and three smartphones.
In recent weeks, a series of burglary incidents had been reported across various police stations in Puri. To address this situation, the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Puri established a special team led by the Inspector-in-Charge (IC) of Talabania Police Station.
After extensive and thorough efforts, the team was able to solve all the cases. They apprehended the four burglars, recovered all the stolen items, and arrested those involved in receiving the stolen property. The accused individuals are scheduled to be presented in court today.
