28% tax on online gaming to become effective from Oct 1

New Delhi, 2/8: The GST council on Wednesday took a final call on levying 28 per cent GST on online gaming, casinos, horse racing, etc. amid requests from the gaming industry to revoke the decision.

 

 

The tax will become effective from October 1, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said.
