New Delhi, 18/12: A scientist of DRDO has been arrested in connection with the blast in Rohini District Court of Lilli. This scientist of Defense Research and Development Organization has been arrested by the Delhi Police on charges of plotting the blast. According to the police, this is a case of mutual enmity between the accused scientist with a lawyer.
On December 9, there was a low intensity explosion in room number 102 of Rohini district court and one person was injured in the incident. News18 quoted sources as saying that the accused person who has been arrested in this case is a serving scientist in DRDO. Surprisingly, this scientist has been given the charge of research and development for the army.
The reason for the blast became enmity with the lawyer
Police officials said that 3 points of the evidence found in this case are pointing towards the accused. The first of these is CCTV footage in which the accused scientist was seen on the screen twice and he also had a bag which is suspected to have been carrying explosives. Whereas in the second picture he did not have this bag. In the second point, there was the presence of the lawyer who was inside the courtroom and was allegedly the target of the scientist. Last point, the company whose logo was on the bag is reportedly the same firm where his cousin works.
