Pipili, 3/10: In the big development, Rudra Pratap Maharathy the son of late MLA Pradeep Maharathy defeated Ashrit Patnaik of BJP by a margin of 20, 622 votes to clinch the Pipili assembly constituency.
Rudra got 96392 votes where as Ashrit got 75770 votes. Congress lost its deposit and fame by getting only 4237 votes.
Rudra dedicated his win to his late father and CM Naveen Patnaik
