Mumbai, 30/6: The HDFC Bank board has appointed Rajiv Kumar, former Finance Secretary and 25th Chief Election Commissioner of India, as its new chairman.The board approved the appointment of Kumar as an independent director of the bank for a period of four years, with effect from June 30, 2026, HDFC Bank said in a filing. He would replace Atanu Chakraborty, who abruptly resigned citing ethical concern.
