Bhubaneswar, Feb 22: The International Conference on Recent Advances in Nanomedicine was successfully organized at KIIT-DU on February 21-22, 2025.
It served as a global convergence platform, bringing together over 500 participants, including researchers, students, medical professionals, social scientists, and startups. Renowned keynote speakers from the USA, Switzerland, Spain, India, Germany, Argentina, France, Ireland, and Australia shared insights into the latest advancements in nanotechnology-based diagnostics, imaging, and therapeutics.
The event was jointly conducted by the Precision Nanomedicine Journal (USA), the School of Biotechnology, and Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) of KIIT University, along with Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster (BCKIC)—an initiative of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India.
The conference discussions also focused on how scientific and entrepreneurial innovations can lead to affordable, scalable, and sustainable healthcare solutions.
The conference was inaugurated by Prof. Patrick Hunziker, President of the International Society for Nanomedicine, University Hospital Basel, Switzerland, and Prof. Lajos P. Balogh, Editor-in-Chief of Precision Nanomedicine (PRNANO), USA. Prof. Mrutyunjay Suar, Director General of Research & Innovation at KIIT University and CEO of KIIT Technology Business Incubator (KIITTBI), delivered the welcome address.
Students from across India actively participated, presenting posters and pitching innovative ideas. Selected groundbreaking innovations in the sector will be incubated at KIITTBI for further development.
KIIT University and BCKIC reaffirmed their commitment to fostering excellence in the science and technology ecosystem through such initiatives. Dr. Namrata Misra, CEO of BCKIC, proposed the vote of thanks, emphasizing that the conference would pave the way for strategic global collaborations among researchers and institutions worldwide.
