Bhubaneswar: Good news for women in Odisha as the sixth instalment of Subhadra Yojana money will be disbursed on April 24. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida informed this today. The money will be distributed at an event in Puri. She further said that the women who have applied by March 31 will receive the money. Earlier the money was scheduled to be disbursed on April 22 and 23, however, as per the recent update Subhadra Yojana money will be given on April 24. The eligible beneficiaries out of the 1 lakh 70 thousand beneficiaries who had been excluded will get Subhadra money on April 24. They will receive Rs 5000 for each instalment and such two installments. Further to include all the eligible beneficiaries a door-to-door survey was conducted by the Government of Odisha to find the beneficiaries who have so far deprived of the benefit of the Subhadra scheme in Odisha. The government reportedly close the application process on March 31 and conducted a survey. Officials were engaged to conduct a door-to-door survey. It is to be noted that the beneficiaries of Subhadra yojana are being given Rs 10,000 per year in two instalments of Rs 5,000 each. The last instalment of the Subhadra Yojana money was distributed on March 8 that is Women’s Day. The government released Rs 5,000 crores to the 1 crore beneficiaries.
