India seeks foothold in Indonesia’s nickel industry dominated by China; Modi, Prabowo Subianto to discuss BrahMos deal

New Delhi, 6/7: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will on Tuesday witness the signing of an agreement to facilitate joint ventures between firms from the two countries to process critical minerals, particularly nickel.

The two leaders will also discuss ways to expand bilateral defence cooperation, including the sale of Made-in-India BrahMos missiles to Indonesia. If New Delhi and Jakarta can make progress in bilateral negotiations for the deal on BrahMos.
