Melbourne, 23/12(AO Bureau): In a major setback for the Australian cricket team, star opener David Warner and bowling spearhead Sean Abbot have been ruled out of the Boxing Day Test which is scheduled to be held at Melbourne. Warner failed to recover from his groin injury.
Fast bowler Sean Abbott, meanwhile, recovered from a calf strain but he won’t be added to the squad due to Australia’s bio-bubble protocols. Both Warner and Abbott were recovering from their injuries in Sydney. However, the Australia squad is looking solid and will be high on confidence after beating India by 8 wickets in the first test.
