Karnataka, 20/1 (AO Bureau)A case of death of a male health worker applying Coronavirus Vaccine has been reported in Karnataka. According to the information received, a health worker died in the Nirmal district of Karnataka 16 hours after vaccination. Initial investigation has not revealed the cause of death to be related to vaccination. According to the guideline, the team of doctors will do the post-mortem of the health worker.
The AEFI committee of the district is investigating the matter and will submit it to the state’s AEFI committee. After which the state committee will send its report to the center. According to the press release issued by the state public health and family welfare department, the health worker of Nirmal district was vaccinated at around 11.30 am on January 19. On January 20, at 2.30 am, the health worker complained of chest pain. By the time he was taken to the district hospital at 5.30 am, he had died. Let us tell you that the vaccination campaign has started in the country on January 16. According to the last update, 4 lakh 54 thousand 49 people have been vaccinated so far in the country.
