Punjab CM Captain Amrinder Singh digitally transfers teachers

Punjab, 25/3 (AO Bureau): Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amrinder Singh digitally transfers a large number of school teachers digitally through the online transfer portal of the Education Department under the Teacher Transfer Policy-2019 (Teacher Transfer Policy-2019). Have ordered. On pressing the button, on the merit of 10,099 teachers and volunteers on behalf of the Chief Minister, the transfer of their choice was approved at the station. Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla was also present on this occasion.

35,386 teachers and volunteers applied
Online applications were received from 35,386 teachers and volunteers seeking transfers, out of which 15,481 were found ineligible as they did not meet the criteria laid down under the policy. The remaining 19,905 applications were found eligible for transfer. For the first time, computer teachers and education volunteers from different classes were also brought under the purview of the teacher transfer policy.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the teacher transfer policy will be helpful in successfully achieving the goal of providing quality education by filling the vacant post. This will help to continue the academic session without any hindrance. Apart from this, teachers will also get the pleasure of doing jobs at their favorite station only on merit. He revealed that instead of the notification issued by the state government education department at present, the Teachers Transfer Act will be brought soon for the transfer of teachers.

The Chief Minister appreciated the separate projects initiated by the School Education Department to raise the quality of education and strengthen the infrastructure in government schools. Punjab has made many new beginnings to bring about a great change in the quality in school education. The Transfer Policy-2019 was also a major step in this direction. So far, more than 50 percent of applications have been approved with complete transparency under the online system.
