Heavy rain in New Delhi, IGI airport flodded

New Delhi, 11/9: The India Meteorological Department said on Saturday that Delhi received 1100 mm of rain so far in this year’s highly unusual monsoon season, which is the highest in 46 years and almost double the rainfall recorded last year. However, these figures are subject to change, as more rain is expected in the city during the day. Let us inform that due to heavy rains in Delhi, not only some parts of Indira Gandhi Airport (IGI Airport) have been flooded, but many areas of Delhi have become water-water. At the same time, due to water logging at many places, there has been traffic jam.

An IMD official said, “The Safdarjung observatory had recorded 1,150 mm of rainfall in the 1975 monsoon season. This year the rainfall has already crossed the 1,100 mark and the monsoon season is not over yet.
